MEET THE TEACHERS OF T.Y.P.E!

Teacher: Imani.

  • Subject: Music - Fashion / 16 Years in Teaching.
  • Personal Style: Relaxed and boyish. Varsity jackets & sweats are my favorite pieces of clothing. But sometimes I’m girly too. I gotta thing for shorts & croptops.

  • Inspiration: My brother. He ended up being what he always wanted to be (a DJ) & he helped me fall in love with fashion and music. So, he’s my inspiration & anyone else living out their dreams that they thought were too big to accomplish.

  • Fun Fact: I Rap :)

Teacher: Sachi.

Subject: Dabble in all Topics / 103-86 Years in Teaching.

Personal Style: I would define my style as a bi-polar blast of surprise. What I wear one day all depends on what I feel like dressing up as. I treat my closet like a big costume department; who I want to be that day is what I’ll wear.

Inspiration: The Internets, and street fashion style from Korea, Japan, China, 90’s Punk/Grudge movement, and urban wear from right in the USA.  Other than that, just when i see something  i like, it try it out, if i like it stays.

Fun Fact: I love studying alternative fashion like goth, punk, cyberpunk, etc.
My motivation is to not be a swagless monkey. And in times of doubt, I often think “What Would BasedGod Do?”.

Subject: Styling - Consultant - Editor / 17 Years in Teaching.

Personal Style: “My style doesn’t define me, it enhances my being”. I experiment a lot so I wouldn’t say my style is black nor white, it’s shades of gray. You never know what I might do

Inspiration: I get my inspiration from people on the street, old movies, my granny and the models from my favorite store then try to make the looks my own.

Subject: Beauty - Hair / 17 Years in Teaching

Personal Style: The desire for change affects my whole ambition; seasons, mood, culture, and perspective are all valuable. I use them to help me express through the technique of make-up, the appearance of hair and hair colors, and ‘mi amor’ for accessories, rejecting the thought of limitation.

Inspiration: “Creativity begins as just a seed of one’s imagination. Once you water it through expression, lifestyles flourish, creating active new seeds for options of change…”

Fuck wit’ us!
